America the Beautiful Discover the history of the United States of America;
projects include creating an American flag and learning the Star Spangled Banner.

Dance: for 6-8 year old campers; learn different styles of dance and participate
in dance games.

Under the Sea Learn about the ocean world; science and craft projects related
to sea creatures and sea life. Ties in with field trip to Aquarium of the Pacific.

Oceans, Wet & Wild Learn about wilder parts of the ocean; study dolphins,
sharks and whales; art projects related to wild sea life.

5 |
Hug Your Planet The planet is everyone's responsibility; learn what the "environment"
is and how to protect it; recycling projects. Ties in with Nature Workshop and trip
to Griffith Park.

Nature: Learn about taking care of the planet, conservation; make paper;
create fossils out of plaster; learn how fossils are made; study the "balance of
nature". Field trip to Griffith Park and park clean-up.

Music Madness Learn the basics about different kinds of music and musical
instruments. Ties in with workshop and field trip to the Hollywood Bowl for an afternoon
performance.

Music: Learn simple music theory; singing, basic voice techniques; learn
simple percussion instruments, recorders.

7 |
Create It! Learn about different styles of art and artists. Ties in with
the Art Workshop. Spend the week creating!

Art: Learn basic drawing and painting techniques, including color and how
the color wheel works.

8 |
Wild, Wild West Take a trip back to the time of cowboys and Indians. Learn
the tales of the wild west and participate in related crafts projects. Ties in with
trip to the famous Knott's Berry Farm.

9 |
Luau Wow! Discover the unique culture of Hawaii with projects that include
making leis and learning Hawaiian dances. End the week, and summer camp, with a
special luau BBQ!
