The Standard Achievement Test is an integral part of a student’s college admission.
Yet, the test itself can be overwhelming and hard to comprehend if you don't know
what you're doing. An ideal introduction to the SATs, this class will address not
only the strategies of the taking the SAT, but the students will also drill and
practice sections of the SAT daily so as to become comfortable with the testing
environment.
In addition, the class will cover the basics of applying to college, including:
- The differences between 2-year and 4-year schools
- The different degrees available
- What a person should look for in a college to best fit his/her needs
- The pros and cons of public and private college and
- How to research what school you want to attend
Run like a college seminar, students will walk away from this class with confidence
about their upcoming path to and through higher education.
There will be two SAT Prep seminars offered:
- June 21st-July 16th
- July 26th-August 20th
If you haven't yet registered, space is still available.
