Algebra Seminar

Weeks 1-9

This teacher-lead seminar is an introduction to high school algebra. Students will
learn algebra vocabulary and how to solve basic and complex equations, all with
a focus on the application of algebra to the world around them. Games and lots of
class interaction make what is sometimes considered a difficult and tedious subject
fun! Highly recommended for all high students who have yet to do algebra.

One of the most important steps in applying to college is taking the SAT Reasoning
test. This summer, we are offering an intensive class in SAT preparation for high
school students. In addition to academic preparation, this class will cover test-taking
techniques – very helpful for students who may not be as familiar with the format
of standardized test as the SAT. This class is highly recommended for students planning
to take the SAT test or the PSAT test in the fall of 2009.
